As a proud member of our vibrant Telugu diaspora, I believe it is our sacred duty to honour and preserve our language and culture. One of the most meaningful ways to do this is by teaching our children Telugu—a gift that keeps their roots strong and their hearts connected to our heritage.

"In the first five years, Prerana allowed the use of English transliteration to make learning Telugu more accessible to a wider audience. While it served its purpose initially, we've realized this approach is not sustainable in the long run. Relying on transliteration prevents learners from truly engaging with the Telugu script, which is essential for preserving the language.

To ensure the survival of Telugu in the diaspora, we are focussing on teaching students to read and write in the script itself. This shift will deepen their connection to the language and culture, creating a stronger foundation for future generations." Pravindra Adari, Prerana Founder.
