Sankranthi Panduga 2025: Important Announcement  

As we step into 2025, we wish you all a joyous and prosperous Sankranthi! Over the past five years, Prerana has hosted online Sankranthi celebrations to keep the spirit of our culture alive during the challenging times of the pandemic when live events were not possible.

With the return of in-person celebrations at Telugu Sabhas and temples, Prerana has decided not to host an online Sankranthi program on 14 January 2025. Instead, we encourage everyone to support and participate in live events in your local communities.

In 2025, Prerana’s primary focus will be on expanding our Telugu writing and reading programs, especially for children, to preserve and promote our beautiful language. While we may host select online Telugu events such as Ugaadhi, Raama Navami, Krishna Ashtami, and Deepavali, our efforts will largely focus on our core mission of language education.


Join Shree Ramulu Temple - Makara Sankranthi Festival from 13 to 15 January 2024

Prerana members are urged to join the nearest Telugu Sabha or place of worship that is observing Sankranthi Festival.  

Let us also take a moment to revisit and appreciate our past programs in 2023 to 2024, which remain a source of joy and inspiration.

Prerana Online Students Shine at Telugu Eisteddfod 2024 with Pillala Prerana Project

Prerana Paatashaala has once again demonstrated the power and potential of online education by clinching multiple prizes at the 81st edition of the Telugu Eisteddfod held at the Andhra Cultural Centre in Chatsworth, South Africa. This year marks a significant milestone for the school, which dedicated 2023 as the Year of the Children, focusing on the expansion and success of its innovative Pillala Prerana Project. What began as a small group of four children has blossomed into a thriving community of over 18 active participants from diverse regions, including Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Limpopo, Mauritius, and even Texas.
