DAY 2 - TEN AUSPICIOUS NAMES OF LORD KRISHNA - GITA WEEK 2024


Lord Krishna, revered as the Supreme Being in Hindu tradition, is known by many names, each reflecting a unique aspect of his divine persona. Names like కృష్ణ (Krishna), meaning "the all-attractive one," and గోవింద (Govinda), "the protector of cows," capture his roles as both a beloved deity and a divine protector. Other names, such as మధుసూదన (Madhusudana), "the slayer of the Madhu demon," highlight his strength and valor, while రాధా-కాంత (Radha-Kanta), "the beloved of Radha," emphasizes his deep connection with devotion and love. These names together offer a glimpse into the multifaceted nature of Krishna.

కృష్ణ (Krishna) - The all-attractive one

గోవింద (Govindha) - The protector of cows or the one who gives pleasure to the senses.

గోపాల (Gopaala) - The protector of the cows or the one who takes care of the cowherds.

వసుదేవ (Vasudheva) -  The son of Vasudeva, or the one who dwells in all beings.

కేశవ (Keshava) - The one with long, beautiful hair, or the slayer of the Kesi demon.

మధుసూదన (MadHusoodhana) - The killer of the Madhu demon

జనార్దన (Janaardhana) - The one who is worshipped by all, or the one who punishes the miscreants.

ముకుంద (Mukundha) - he grants liberation (mukti) from the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth.

రాధా-కాంత (RaadHaa-Kaantha) - The beloved of Radha.

జగన్నాథ (JagannaatHa) - The Lord of the universe.

The names of Lord Krishna serve not only as a testament to his divine attributes but also as a source of inspiration and devotion for his followers. Each name, from కృష్ణ (Krishna) to జగన్నాథ (Jagannatha), "the lord of the universe," encapsulates profound spiritual meanings and teachings. Prerana Online Students Shine at Telugu Eisteddfod 2024 with Pillala Prerana Project

Prerana Paatashaala has once again demonstrated the power and potential of online education by clinching multiple prizes at the 81st edition of the Telugu Eisteddfod held at the Andhra Cultural Centre in Chatsworth, South Africa. This year marks a significant milestone for the school, which dedicated 2023 as the Year of the Children, focusing on the expansion and success of its innovative Pillala Prerana Project. What began as a small group of four children has blossomed into a thriving community of over 18 active participants from diverse regions, including Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Limpopo, Mauritius, and even Texas.
